Played aggressively, this short par five can be reached in two shots. A large lake guards the entire
left side of the relatively flat right to left landing area. A tee ball played left of the directional bunker, challenging the water will leave the shortest shot to the green and the best angle. A well struck second shot with a long iron or fairway wood played slightly left will chase up to the elevated green leaving a well rewarded eagle opportunity.
Any shot marginally off line to the right will catch the steep slope and end up in one of five deep sod wall bunkers right of the green. The safer play is to lay up to the right fairway in the second landing area leaving a short uphill pitch to the green and an opportunity for birdie. |
