The shortest par 4 on the course is not without challenge. All hazards are clearly visible from the elevated tees. Four fairway bunkers frame the landing area, which ends at a small wetland area running diagonally across the hole. The golfer has several options off the tee. The creek can be carried with a very well struck drive down the right side of the hole, and depending on the conditions, a ball could chase up onto the green surface. The best play is a long iron or fairway wood carried over the right fairway bunkers short of the creek to set up a wedge shot from the optimum angle. A drive that is played farther left will leave a more difficult approach shot that will have to carry the stream. |
