The open setting and generous landing area on this downhill
par four promotes a comfortable feeling for the first tee shot
of the day. A fairway wood or driver to the left side of the landing area situated in a natural valley leaves the best angle for the approach shot. Three sod wall bunkers guard the right side of this deep green, which sits left to right along the edge of the valleys largest lake. Two bunkers behind the green protect a player’s ball from reaching the lake. Framed by large hardwoods a large silo sits left of the green out of play but adding character to the opening hole and reminding golfers of the properties history.
